I have two dogs that literally wrecked their well-made plastic crates by punching out sides or chewing around the door. These crates that I have purchased from K&J crates to prevent this.
My dogs are now save and I don’t have to worry about them. The crates are well-made. I have another dog in which I will be purchasing another one of these crates again.
Best crate I have ever used. Easy set up and stores folded. The grooming set up is perfect for shows. Don’t have to drag extra equipment. The trolly makes it easy in and out of buildings. Thank you for making a dog crate that is practical and safe as well as escape proof
I’ve been looking for a well built crate for my Doberman’s. Definitely this is the crate. It has the quality and the safety all in one. Great for large dogs with any kind of anxiety issues. Easy to keep clean. Definitely will buy another one.

While researching everything online, I’ve discovered that quite a few crates are very unsatisfactory because of inadequate construction methods / materials and being underbuilt and would not withstand the rigorous abuse of opening / closing the door, wear and tear on paint etc.
Other than looking at fantastic with an extremely hard-wearing paint job once you get this crate, you’ll never need to go to or get another one. It’s because of this I decided on this one,……If you appreciate quality products, this one’s for you…..
Everything about this crate is heavy-duty: The aircraft aluminum material is durable, hinges are really strong, over built protective door, multiple secure locking mechanisms, cross rails for support & travel, heavy duty latches, bottom drain holes for cleaning and corner protectors are extremely durable for protecting your vehicle’s interior.
I have used the strong over built tie down straps and fastened the crate in the back of my super cab.
The crate will not be going anywhere. Just a few days ago I purchased the stainless-steel crate attachable dog bowl. Very durable, easy to clean and self-contained what a great addition for my dog crate
Another very important factor for me in deciding on this crate was that it was made in Canada and that there were no import or tariff fees
My dog actually likes going in and lays down immediately once inside and calms down dramatically.
I am an emergency responder of 32 years and would definitely would say with a high degree of confidence that if your vehicle were to be involved in an accident and because of the robust construction, that your dog would walk away shaken but with very few injuries.

I love these crates so much I now own 4! The two stationary crates I just purchased are perfect. Although they required some assembly, they are sturdy, the dogs gravitate to them over other brands (yes, I have done a side by side comparison and my dogs prefer the K &J's), they look terrific, but I adore the easy open/easy close latches the most. Customer service is top notch as well. Best Crates Ever!
The wheeled trolley is easy to use and makes for the perfect addition to the crate.

I love K &J Crates so much, I just purchased 2 more! I admit assembling the first one was a bit tricky. The instructions were not detailed enough for me. But the second one was a BREEZE! These are easily the best crates on the market and worth every penny. High quality materials, great design, super safe for my dogs, and the customer service was the best!
Had the crate a few weeks now and is excellent. Easy to set up(XL Collapsible). Jill was very good to work with letting us bring our pup in to make sure the size was right.
Overall the crate held up really well on the flight to Italy. I got the XL collapsible crate. A few screws came loose and were lost along the journey. I took off a star because of the UPS delivery. I wasn't aware that the shipper (K&J) put the UPS tariff service charge to bill to reciever so I got a surprise bill in the mail from UPS a month later. I did not recieve the free straps that were promoted with my order either.
The customer service has been amazing from when I initially inquired and placed my order right to receiving all the pieces of my order. One of the pieces I did order was backordered but when I received the call to let me know, we realized there was a better option for me and switched the item to something far more useful for my needs. We will be making another purchase for sure.

A beautiful tack box with plenty of space for my grooming items. I purchased the side caddy which works great for holding those bottles of grooming products. It is well built and of great quality!!
This is the absolute cadillac of crates!! It is stunning; amazing quality and well built. If you have a dog that tends to be a Houdini in a wire crate, this is the crate for you. I love the grooming top which saves having to bring along a separate grooming table to the show set up. If you are planning to haul the crate around and use it for show set ups, you’ll want to get the trolley as they have some weight to them. Something to consider is that they are a little “noisier”…they echo a little more inside and if you have a dog that tends to move and dig around in their kennel, it does clang and bang a little. While it has plenty of ventilation, in my personal experience, it does seem to get just slightly warmer inside than a wire crate does. All in all though, it’s a beautiful crate!!
The wheeled trolley is a must have if you are planning to use the crate at your show set ups or haul them any distance, especially the larger crates.
The crate was extremely easy to put together. Lift and clip and then insert the thumbscrews. I couldn’t imagine something so sturdy being any easier.
They were amazing from the start, I 100% recommend buying from K&J. They are amazing from answering calls as a potential customer all the way to navigating customer specific requirements. They are truly amazing especially dealing with Jillian on the phone if you buy from anywhere or anything else other than K&J you will be disappointed.
We have a Malinois and a GSD mix. Our malinois has destroyed 4 crates in her 3 1/2 year lifespan. Leaving the dogs in the kennel to go anywhere gave me the worst anxiety. I was so scared something would happen when I was gone and that they would get hurt. Especially the malinois with the way she can go from 0 to 100 in seconds. All I pictured was one of the crates hurting her and coming home to a horror show. So we got a camera... While out at lunch one day, I had the feeling to check on the girls, there she was destroying her crate again on camera. I had enough. Thousands on crates at this point, I knew we needed something better. I started googling and stumbled across K&J. The first thing I thought was ohhhh made in Canada then my mind went right to 'pricey', but is it? Think about it. 4 crates at this point, and just moments away from a major vet bill from injury. I finally ordered one. As soon as it was set up, I knew this would be perfect. But here comes the best part. The GSD. The 'good girl' who has had the same crate the entire TIME. 4 1/2 years old, got so jealous. She would lay down and pout and stare at her sisters crate. When we would try to leave she would go into her sisters crate instead of her own. So, we had to order another. Now both girls are safe and happy. Best part, when we leave the house, my anxiety is gone, I know the girls are safe and secure. The way the girls love how dark the crates are, and how the metal stays cool to touch.
