So I’ll preface my review with this important distinction between the models of K&J crates offered:
The folding crates pack down & pop up, with no assembly required.
The stationary crates are completely disassembled: 3 sides plus the door, as well as the top & bottom.
We ordered the stationary crate.
Assembly is done using rivets. A manual rivet gun is provided, but unless you have the handgrip of “Ahnold” in his prime, you might swear a bit … there are hundreds of rivets, and distinguishing between the panel rivets & the corner rivets is not trivial.
Assembly took us a number of hours & was somewhat frustrating.
I must highlight that Jill & her husband were very responsive & helpful - ultimately we are delighted with the finished product. They answered all our questions & ensured we were able to successfully assemble our crate.
They’re good people and their products are excellent. They filled a niche that is much needed here in Canada. Highly recommended.
Bottom line: if you want a folding crate or just the convenience of no assembly - then get the folding version. If you are handy & a do-it-yourselfer who enjoys putting stuff together, then get the stationary crate. Either crate is great for travel & is definitely what you want if you have an escape artist dog!

I am extremely impressed with the quality of the collapsible crate. It was very easy to put together. I got the pink one and the colour is just fantastic.
I got this in XS for my mini smooth dachshund. I will say even the XS is too big for her but if you have multiple then 2 fits no problem. Two of mine fit in there.
Having a collapsible crate is very convenient especially if I don’t want to use it for the daily in the house, I have that option to make storing easier. Even the little paw print detailing in the vents and the little Canadian flag in the corner. A lot of thought went into making these. Definitely recommend.
Security at its finest. Only crate that has been able to contain my super smart, anxious and stubborn boy. I’d have saved money buying this from the start as he totaled 5 other crates. Now I have piece of mind.

I appreciate the ability to collapse it for storage. The chameleon finish is a beautiful iridescent hue that changes colour with the viewed angle, over Mercedes black.
Unfortunately I got a size larger than would be best. But it’s alright, once my male german pinscher is neutered I can have both dogs in the one crate at home.
The door chew guard I got in place of the crate pad (which was back ordered) as a free gift. One of the owners, Kevin said the door guard was also if using the crate for air travel a paw or tail wouldn’t slip through the door.
I will be getting a couple more better sized crates for each dog. Plus the fans for comfort when they are in my vehicle.
We ordered an XL crate and the customer service was beyond my expectations and the crate is absolutely fantastic.
after going through 2 'heavy duty cages' we decided to take the plunge. This cage is made of top quality materials and once assembled is very impressive. Looking forward to many years of safe use for our wirehaired pointer
Stella, my 16.5 year old Lowchen, loves her Brooklyn bed. She suffers with arthritis and I can see her truly relaxed and comfortable in your bed. I highly recommend for your senior pets. They deserve the comfort these beds provide.
We bought a crate for our great dane puppy Domino, and its been amazing. We noticed he loves his crate more than any others, and that its build quality is set apart. Couldn't be more happy!
I looked all over online to find a crate that I genuinely felt would keep my puppy safe when I’m working or out of the house. I have a high-anxiety, destructive little puppy and I was constantly stressing out over her not only destroying the house but eating things that she shouldn’t be when we were gone. I’ll never use another crate for as long as I have dogs (so the rest of my life lol), nothing compares to having peace of mind that my dogs are safe and unable to escape or hurt themselves in their crate. Extraordinary Customer service by Jillian including arriving one day after it was shipped with Canada Post. Kevin custom made a rubber mat for the top of my tack box so my cat could settle there. Ordered Medium/Large size based on Jillians advice Has plenty of storage room for my Service Animals gear including the bar for harnesses/leashes inside the lid. Locking mechanism is beautiful, the Tack box is sturdy and exceptionally well made. I love the Celtic Knot on the logo. Thanks Kevin and Jillian for outstanding customer service and a beautifully made Tack Box.
Well made, was surprised how warm it is. Will be good for 3 seasons but not for summer.
When my friends ask how much this crate cost, they are a bit surprised but this crate is not your basic crate. It’s stylish and offers the pup the security they deserve and desire. All the accessories are totally worth it and thoughtfully created. Love to support Canadian company, as well. Highly recommend
We love our K&J crate so much! It paired with the crate pad and fan are a must. My Dog Cheese looks like the king in his Teal Crate.

I’m very impressed with the K&J Collapsable Dog Crate! It’s extremely easy for one person to put together and does not require any tools. It is sturdy and well designed. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
Bought the XL crate in white for my dog Nova, who is a Shepard mix around 118lbs
She fits perfectly in it, and the build quality and paint finish are excellent.
I would absolutely recommend this crate to anyone.
Love the quality, the ease of moving to different vehicles etc….
But WHY DID YOU MAKE THE ENTRY DOORS SO SMALL? My dog is 15 lbs and is fine once in, but the door is small to get thru.
It fits perfectly, nice and tough. A little hard to assemble, but worth it.
